With most companys focused squarely on updating their recent product lineups to Frozen goodies Sandwich and Jelly Bean, Motorola and Sprint have delivered us a throwback. The Motorola XPRT, released within the early summer months of 2011, is currently police taser gun seeing its update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The positive is always that Motorola and Sprint have not forgotten about those folks still locked towards a two-year contract in the XPRT, an admittedly niche device. But were left with the question: why is this thing is merely now getting upgraded to Gingerbread?

Its true, most manufacturers would have abandoned software updates for stun gun sales that XPRT years ago, and we all applaud your energy, exploiting todays world its Frozen treats Sandwich (as a minimum) or bust. Anything less feels underwhelming. XPRT users won' doubt appreciate the ultra-modern software, but its interesting to find Moto still devoting resources with the handset.
